Job Title: Special Education Teacher (Certified or Permit)
Reports To: Coordinator/Case Manager, Instructional Coach – Special Education, or Director of Special Education


About the Role:
We’re looking for a passionate Special Education Permit Teacher to provide individualized instruction and support for students with disabilities. You’ll implement IEPs, manage classroom behavior, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to create a safe and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive.


What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver individual and small-group instruction aligned with the general education curriculum

  • Prepare and manage IEPs in collaboration with families and IEP teams

  • Apply classroom modifications, accommodations, and behavior interventions

  • Consult with teachers and staff to support student learning

  • Participate in Child Study, eligibility, and interdisciplinary team meetings

  • Maintain accurate student records and track progress


What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education

  • Special education certification or eligibility for a special education permit

  • Knowledge of K-12 special education requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based tools

  • Professionalism and ability to handle confidential information
