Riverwood Center is located in beautiful Southwest Michigan with staff at seven sites across Berrien County. We are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and a member of Southwest Michigan Behavioral Health, Michigan Association of Community Mental Health Boards, and the National Council for Behavioral Health.

EDUCATION: 
High School Diploma or equivalent. 
 
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE: 
One or more years’ experience working in an office environment. Must have excellent computer and interpersonal skills, be punctual, organized, have the ability to multi-task, and work independently. Prefer experience working with adults or children with mental illness and/or developmental disabilities. 
 
 Responsibilities:
  •  Welcomes consumers, families and visitors. 
  • Checks in consumers, schedules and backfills appointments. 
  • Collects co-pays, financial and demographic information.
  • Tracks and monitors data/reports
  • Answers and transfers phone calls, maintains files, processes paperwork. 
  • Provides clerical support to the team.
 Qualifications:     
  • One or more years’ experience working in a medical office environment. 
  • Must have excellent computer and interpersonal skills, be punctual, organized, have the ability to multi-task, and work independently. 
  • Preferred candidates will have experience working with individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities.
