Lead Lifeguard

About the role

Walton Family Whole Health & Fitness, managed by HealthFitness, is hiring for a Lead Lifeguard in Bentonville, AR.

Key Accountabilities:

• Monitor patrons using the aquatics facility.

• Enforce and explain rules as necessary. 

• Ensure the safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facility. Responsible for quickly handling all injuries/incidents that occur in the Aquatic Center during your shift and filling out incident/accident reports. Administer first aid as needed.

• Perform chemical testing and document results for all bodies of water four times a day.

• Attend all required staff meetings and training.

• Report any broken or dysfunctional equipment immediately via incident report.

• Be familiar with all schedules and any posted changes for all facilities.

• Acts as manager on duty in absence of other leadership.

• Assist Aquatics Supervisor with the implementation of various programs and initiatives.

• Other duties as needed/assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be 18 years old & hold a current American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification with CPR/AED/First Aid.

• A high level of emotional maturity

• Sound judgment and decision-making ability

• Strong communication skills

• Proficiency in all skills pertinent to that area

• Positive attitude

• Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.

Preferrred:

• 3 years Lifeguard experience

• Experience as a lifeguard in an aquatic facility.

• Experience in pool water testing and cleaning.
