This role ensures the integrity of financial reporting by enforcing Finance Master Data governance standards, managing compliance, and overseeing the complete lifecycle of master data objects. It serves as the central liaison for stakeholders, driving operational enablement, continuous improvement, and automation to optimize processes and mitigate risks.

We also provide a variety of services such as procurement, supplier portfolio management, merchandising master data, and analytics. From developing HR chatbots and virtual assistants to creating invoice solutions and facilitating legal changes, we help drive efficiency across Walmart globally.
The Finance Master Data team ensures the accuracy, consistency, and governance of critical master data associated with external and internal financial reporting by creating a single, trusted source of truth globally. We manage master data creation, changes, lifecycle management, data integration, cleansing, and standardization processes to improve data quality, accessibility, and decision making across systems and teams globally.

What you'll do:
- Governance & Compliance: Own and enforce Finance Master Data governance standards (e.g., system workflows, segregation of duties, and auditable change requests) to protect the integrity of financial reporting. Monitor adherence to policies and lead remediation when exceptions or control gaps are identified.
- Master Data Lifecycle & Quality: Coordinate the end‑to‑end lifecycle for in‑scope objects (e.g., Accounts, Profit Centers, Cost Centers), from creation through change and inactivation.
- Operational Enablement & Change Control: Manage the intake and prioritization of master data requests; guide requesters on prerequisites, freeze windows, and required evidence to avoid downstream issues. Oversee configuration readiness and perform impact checks (e.g., open items, project/asset ties) before executing locks/unlocks or mass changes.
- Stakeholder Leadership & Communication: Serve as the central point of contact for markets, business owners, Data Stewards, and technology partners; align decisions with enterprise policy and local regulatory needs.
- Continuous Improvement & Automation: Identify automation and process improvement opportunities, propose and help prioritize solutions, support pilots/implementation, and measure quantifiable outcomes.
What you'll bring:

- ERP & Consolidation Systems Knowledge: Proficient with ERPÂ systems & financial consolidation systems.
- Database Management: Skilled in handling various databases, including cloud sources.
- Process Controls & Governance: In-depth understanding and value add of process controls and governance.Â
- 2-5 years of relevant field experience is highly preferred.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
