Our hand-crafted airplanes are delivered and flown around the world. For more information about the GameBird and our company, visit our website game.aero. We’re not looking for someone who just knows aerospace, we’re looking for someone who can build, test, break, fix, and improve real hardware. As an Aerospace Design Engineer, you’ll design and develop general aviation components and systems—but more importantly, you’ll own problems from concept to flight-ready reality. You’ll work on both type-certified aircraft in production and new aircraft in development, getting your hands dirty alongside manufacturing, testing, and certification. If you’re the kind of person who doesn’t wait for perfect instructions, figures things out, and takes pride in making things work in the real world, you’ll fit here. Key Responsibilities Include: Design components and systems for general aviation aircraft—from first concept through production and certification Build, prototype, test, and iterate designs—not just model them Validate assumptions with real data, not just theory Create and refine 3D models and drawings (SolidWorks) that actually work on the shop floor Write and execute test plans, certification documents, and compliance reports Work directly with manufacturing to solve real production problems and improve designs Collaborate with FAA/ACO and internal teams to move designs through certification Own your work—when something doesn’t work, you help fix it What We Care About: We care less about where you went to school and more about what you can actually do, build, fix, or figure out You might be a fit if you: Like working with your hands as much as your computer Have built things—airplanes, cars, composites, engines, or anything mechanical Take initiative and don’t wait to be told every step Can troubleshoot and solve problems without a playbook Communicate clearly and work well with both engineers and technicians Take pride in delivering something that actually works—not just looks good on paper Required Qualifications: Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent equivalent hands-on experience 2+ years of relevant experience in aerospace design, manufacturing, or similar Experience with 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred) Ability to work within structured certification and design processes when needed Preferred Qualifications (Bonus but not Required) Composite design or fabrication experience Experience working on certified aircraft or with FAA regulations Familiarity with aircraft hardware (AN fasteners, etc.) Background in manufacturing, fabrication, or shop environments Lean manufacturing or process improvement experience What Success Looks Like Here: You don’t just design parts—you help get them built and flying You close gaps between engineering and production You take ownership of problems and see them through You make the team better by bringing energy, curiosity, and follow-through Personal Attributes that Support Your Success: High intellectual curiosity, entrepreneurial, creative thinker and problem-solver,  fast learner, with demonstrated initiative. High level of maturity and ability to work in a team setting or independently. Willing to roll up your sleeves to help drive results. Unquestionable ethics and personal integrity.   Game Aerospace Benefits Overview: Employee Health Medical, Dental, and Vision – plans that include both PPO and High-Deductible HSA options for medical.
