We are seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive bids for commercial interior construction projects. This role is responsible for managing the estimating process from initial plan review through final proposal, with a focus on drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, and commercial flooring.

The ideal candidate has experience performing quantity takeoffs, reviewing construction documents, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors, and developing detailed cost estimates for commercial projects. This is a hands-on role for someone who can manage multiple bids, work independently, and consistently deliver accurate pricing in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates for commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceiling, and flooring projects.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and estimating requirements.
  • Perform accurate quantity takeoffs and calculate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing to develop competitive project bids.
  • Identify scope gaps, exclusions, value engineering opportunities, and potential project risks prior to bid submission.
  • Prepare complete bid proposals and supporting documentation.
  • Collaborate with project managers, field teams, vendors, and clients to clarify scope and project requirements.
  • Maintain organized estimating files and documentation using estimating or project management software.
  • Assist with project handoffs by providing estimating details and scope clarification to operations teams.
  • 3–5 years of estimating experience in commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, flooring, or related interior construction trades.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, and building systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
  • Experience performing detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis.
  • Proficiency with construction estimating or project management software preferred.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Commercial interior construction experience is required.
