Role summary:

The (USA) Custodian plays a vital role in maintaining clean, safe, and sanitary facilities by adhering to company policies and regulatory standards, including OSHA guidelines. This position involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks such as disinfecting, waste removal, floor care, and restroom sanitation, while supporting facility operations through minor maintenance and event setup. The Custodian collaborates effectively with team members and management to ensure a well-maintained environment that supports operational excellence and a positive experience for all associates and customers. The Custodial team at Walmart’s Home Office is dedicated to maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments for all associates, leaders, and visitors. What you'll do:

• Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in offices, restrooms, conference rooms, lobbies, elevators, and parking lots following safety procedures and regulations.
• Perform tasks including dusting, sweeping, wet mopping, stripping and waxing floors, vacuuming, and spot-cleaning carpets.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, showers, electronic devices, windows, air conditioner ducts, and ceiling tiles.
• Empty waste receptacles and recycle bins while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Assist with room setup for special events and perform minor maintenance and repair activities.
• Identify and report facility issues to management promptly.
• Comply with company policies, OSHA standards, and safety guidelines consistently.

What you'll bring:

• Proven experience in maintaining clean and sanitary facilities in compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local regulations.
• Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and ability to apply safety procedures effectively.
• Proficiency in performing routine custodial duties including disinfecting, sweeping, mopping, waxing floors, and cleaning restrooms and common areas.
• Ability to identify additional cleaning needs and report facility issues promptly to management.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with team members and business partners to meet priorities and deadlines.
• Commitment to upholding integrity, ethics, and company values in all tasks.

The hourly wage range for this position is $15.00 - $23.00*

*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
