We are seeking an experienced Commercial Interiors Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive bids for a variety of commercial interior construction projects. This position plays a critical role in evaluating project opportunities, performing detailed quantity takeoffs, and developing comprehensive estimates for drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, commercial flooring, and related interior systems.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of commercial construction documents, excels at cost analysis, and can effectively coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and project teams to deliver accurate, timely proposals. Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial interior construction projects, including drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, and flooring.
  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements.
  • Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work.
  • Solicit, analyze, and compare vendor and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Identify scope gaps, exclusions, constructability concerns, and value engineering opportunities.
  • Develop complete bid proposals and supporting documentation while meeting submission deadlines.
  • Coordinate with project managers, field personnel, vendors, and clients to clarify project requirements.
  • Maintain organized estimating records and project documentation using estimating and project management software.
  • Assist with project turnover by providing detailed estimate reviews and scope clarification to operations teams.
  • Stay informed on material pricing, labor trends, and industry best practices to improve estimating accuracy.
  • 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, flooring, or related interior construction trades.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and estimating practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Experience performing detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis.
  • Proficiency with estimating software, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, or similar construction software is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across project teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
  • Commercial interior construction estimating experience is required.
