Martin/Martin, Inc. is looking for a mid-level civil engineer to join our Civil Engineering Group in our Bentonville, Arkansas office.


This mid-level engineer will work on a broad range of project types in the Northwest Arkansas market, including opportunities in Commercial and Residential Development.


A typical work week can include engineering calculations, drawing development, city and client meetings, site visits, etc. This position allows for direct interactions with owners, architects, and contractors.

The Team


Our civil engineering teams focus on site and infrastructure design, including leading projects such as both the original and reconstructed 16th Street Mall (Denver) and Colorado Convention Center Expansions.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinates our work with in-house teams and other firm’s project teams
  • Develops, monitors, and manages work plans, schedules, and design budgets
  • Keeps clients satisfied and developing a skillset to address client management challenges.
  • Opens projects, establishes budgets, and submits information to accounting team. Follows project close out process
  • Manages engineers and CAD/BIM technicians to complete projects
  • Manages small to medium projects or portions of large projects
  • Serves as the primary point-of-contact with clients and contractors
  • Participates in production and technical committees or other special projects to advance the company’s goals

Requirements


Required

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture from an ABET accredited engineering/architecture curriculum
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive engineering experience (a Master's degree in civil engineering or applied engineering is considered 1-year of equivalent experience.) 
  • Must be eligible to work for any employer in the United States, without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Ability to work in the Bentonville area. Relocation reimbursement may be provided, depending on the role and job function.

  • 18 months experience as a Professional Engineer
  • Instills confidence in supervisors and clients through effective communication and technical skills
  • Ability to design, detail, coordinate, and model small to medium size projects within time and budget constraints
  • Experience communicating and working with clients, jurisdictions, and colleagues
  • Experience following multiple engineering projects from start of design to completion of construction
  • Demonstrates time management skills needed to plan and execute projects
  • Demonstrates strong commitment to continued professional development
  • Participating member of professional and/or technical societies

Working Conditions, Skills & Abilities


This position is primarily physical in nature and is continually exposed to outside weather, completing a wide range of activities. The following abilities are required:

  • Move inside or outside the office and on non-ADA accessible construction sites
  • Walk, kneel, crawl, stoop, bend, and remain stationary for long periods of time
  • Repetitive movement on tasks such as using a keyboard or mouse
  • Identify color
  • Read, communicate, and document in English
  • Determine and exchange accurate information
  • Move or hold equipment weighing up to 50 pounds

Compensation


The wage range for this role considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

  • Base Salary
  • Base Salary Review: This role is eligible to participate in Martin/Martin’s annual base salary increase review process.
  • Annual Bonus: This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary annual bonus program.

Base salary review and increases, in addition to annual bonuses, are dependent on various factors, including a hired individual’s job-level and annual company performance.
