Acting as the primary point of contact for Walmart merchants, they own the day-to-day business, develops and execute growth strategies, identify opportunities through data and category insights, and leads cross-functional execution to deliver results. This role is responsible for driving sales, profitability, and operational excellence while building trusted relationships with Walmart merchants and internal partners. The National Account Manager translates data into actionable recommendations, develops compelling business cases for Line Reviews and customer meetings, and leverages AI, automation, and analytics tools to improve decision-making, increase efficiency, and strengthen customer recommendations. Success in this role requires strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, analytical capability, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results. Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the position: Manage the day-to-day business operations for assigned Walmart Hardlines categories while driving long-term sales growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Develop customer strategies and business plans that align with Walmart's merchandising priorities and support both category and company objectives. Analyze sales performance, category trends, competitive activity, inventory, customer insights, and financial results to identify risks, opportunities, and actionable recommendations. Prepare and deliver compelling, data-driven presentations for Line Reviews, Joint Business Planning meetings, business updates, and internal leadership reviews. Serve as the primary point of contact for Walmart merchants and Private Brand Product Development team by building trusted relationships, providing timely communication, and delivering strategic, category-first recommendations. Develop a deep understanding of Walmart's priorities, merchandising strategies, and category objectives to ensure recommendations align with customer goals. Partner with PBU teams to identify innovation opportunities, improve assortment, and support successful product launches. Collaborate with the Replenishment/Analytics team to monitor forecasts, inventory health, replenishment performance, and in-stock opportunities while proactively addressing potential risks. Monitor key performance indicators, sales trends, market share, profitability, and promotional performance to identify opportunities that improve business results. Leverage Walmart data, customer insights, AI, automation, and analytics tools to improve decision making, reduce manual work, and generate actionable business recommendations. Develop recommendations for assortment optimization, pricing strategies, promotional planning, and category growth opportunities. Lead cross-functional projects and coordinate internal resources to ensure customer initiatives are executed accurately and on time. Maintain expertise in assigned product categories, including manufacturing, pricing, competitive landscape, consumer trends, Walmart initiatives, and eCommerce performance. Communicate business performance, risks, opportunities, and customer priorities to Directors and leadership to support timely decision making. Proactively identify issues before they impact the business and develop solutions in partnership with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure clear communication across Test Rite's functional teams so customer decisions, priorities, and action items are executed efficiently. Continuously identify opportunities to improve business processes, streamline reporting, standardize workflows, and increase organizational effectiveness through automation and best practices. Support annual planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities while helping achieve revenue, profitability, and growth objectives. Represent Test Rite professionally in all customer interactions while maintaining the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and customer service. May be assigned other tasks per business needs Skills / Knowledge / Experience / Education needed to perform the job successfully: Bachelor鈥檚 degree in business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field preferred. 3-7+ years of experience in Account Management or Category Management. Experience managing customer relationships with Walmart or other large national retailers preferred. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales, inventory, profitability, and market data. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Walmart systems such as Retail Link, Scintilla, or similar retail analytics platforms is preferred. Experience using AI and business intelligence tools to improve productivity and business insights is a plus. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
