What you'll do...
As a Manager, Seller Intelligence (VoS), you will drive advanced analytics and insight generation to improve the seller experience across Walmart Marketplace. This role blends deep technical problem-solving with business partnership and requires someone who can learn quickly, operate independently, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will work across a mix of rapid, exploratory analysis and longer-term analytical initiatives, leveraging Python-based analytics, SQL, and emerging capabilities such as Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs). The ideal candidate is a quick study who thrives in ambiguity, adapts rapidly to new problem spaces, and translates complex analysis into clear, actionable insights. What You’ll Do- Lead advanced analytical work using Python as a primary tool, including exploration, modeling, experimentation, and automation
- Write and optimize SQL to extract, transform, and analyze large-scale datasets
- Deliver fast-turn, high-impact analysis to support urgent business needs in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Own longer-term analytical and insight-driven initiatives, from problem definition through execution and stakeholder adoption
- Design, experiment with, and apply Generative AI / LLM-based approaches (e.g., text analysis, summarization, classification, signal extraction) alongside traditional advanced analytics
- Independently scope and execute workstreams, while also collaborating closely with cross-functional partners and VoS team members
- Build and maintain dashboards and analytical outputs (e.g., Tableau) to support ongoing monitoring and decision-making
- Identify trends, patterns, and root causes across seller behavior, operational data, and feedback signals
- Communicate insights clearly through written narratives, presentations, and working sessions tailored to varied audiences
- You are a quick learner who can ramp up rapidly on new domains, tools, and problem spaces
- You are comfortable working independently with ownership, but also value collaboration and being part of a high-performing team
- You enjoy balancing advanced analytics and applied GenAI work, and are curious about new techniques and approaches
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can flex between competing priorities without losing focus or quality
- You can structure ambiguous problems, move quickly from question to insight, and drive business impact
- You communicate clearly and can translate technical analysis into compelling, actionable stories
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or analytical field (e.g., data science, computer science, engineering, statistics, economics); advanced degree a plus
- Strong hands-on experience with Python for data analysis, modeling, and automation
- Solid experience with SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets
- Experience with or strong interest in Generative AI, LLMs, or applied machine learning, particularly for unstructured data analysis
- Experience building dashboards and visualizations (e.g., Tableau)
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver results in a fast-moving environment
- Experience in marketplace, e-commerce, or retail analytics
- Prior experience applying advanced analytics or data science techniques in a business context
- Experience partnering closely with product and engineering teams
- Comfort operating with evolving requirements, incomplete data, and tight timelines

San Bruno, California US-08848: The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00 - $202,000.00
Hoboken, New Jersey US-10279 | Bellevue, Washington US-11075: The annual salary range for this position is $96,000.00 - $186,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
