Are you a reliable, safety-minded driver with a passion for supporting a mission-driven food service team? Our Culinary Center is looking for dependable Drivers to ensure timely, accurate delivery of meals and supplies across our network. What You’ll Do:
- Transport meals and supplies using company vehicles to schools and satellite sites.
- Load and unload products with care, ensuring accurate delivery of goods.
- Maintain a daily vehicle log, odometer tracking, and weekly vehicle check reports.
- Keep company vehicles clean and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with the office and team throughout the day.
- Adhere to all motor vehicle laws and Whitsons Driver Policy Guidelines.
- Ensure proper documentation is completed for each delivery (receipts, logs, etc.).
- Perform additional duties as needed to support warehouse and logistics operations.
What We’re Looking For:
- A valid driver’s license appropriate to the class of vehicle being driven.
- Clean driving record – safety first!
- Reliable, proactive attitude and ability to work independently.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and move products safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
- Must pass background check and drug screening.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Pay rate: $20/hour
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIESÂ
EducationÂ
- High school diploma or equivalent required; must complete all Whitsons and government-mandated training as required.Â
Â
ExperienceÂ
- Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience required; food service or delivery driving experience preferred.Â
Â
CertificationsÂ
- Clean, valid, and unblemished driver’s license required at all times; Â
- ServSafe certification preferred.Â
Â
Other QualificationsÂ
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English sufficient to understand route instructions, complete required logs and reports, and communicate with school and office staff.Â
- Must adhere to all motor vehicle laws and regulations at all times; always presents a professional image and follows all Whitsons policies and procedures.Â

- Attention to Detail: Ensures product is correctly loaded, transported, and delivered; completes vehicle logs, odometer records, and delivery receipts with accuracy.Â
- Professionalism: Represents Whitsons positively at all school locations; follows all district-specific delivery protocols and maintains a clean, well-kept vehicle and professional appearance at all times.Â

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND OTHER DETAILSÂ
Expected Hours of WorkÂ
This is a full-time non-exempt position. Hours are aligned with the school district’s food service delivery schedule. Occasional extended hours or weekend work may be required.Â

Physical Demands of the JobÂ
The Team Member is required to sit while driving and stand and walk when loading, unloading, and at delivery sites. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently, including while turning side to side. Exposure to extreme temperatures when accessing storerooms and freezers. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Â

Work EnvironmentÂ
This position operates primarily in and around a company vehicle, with regular presence at school loading docks, storerooms, and freezer areas. Environmental conditions include varying temperatures and moderate to loud noise levels. Â
