Job Summary

NuFace Home Improvements is seeking a skilled and dependable Carpenter / Service Technician to join our growing team in Berlin, CT. This role is responsible for performing high-quality carpentry work, remodeling, and service/repair tasks while delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and experienced in general construction and home improvement services.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry work including framing, trim, cabinetry, drywall, and finish work
• Respond to service calls to diagnose and repair issues
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job specifications
• Measure, cut, and install building materials with precision
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and building codes
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment on all job sites
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, team members, and management
• Load/unload tools and materials and maintain company equipment

Qualifications

• 3+ years of carpentry or general construction experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of construction practices and materials
• Ability to perform service and repair work independently
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent work ethic and time management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in home improvement or remodeling companies
• OSHA certification (a plus)
• Basic electrical or plumbing knowledge (a plus)
