Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: 4 or 5 days a week (8 AM - 5 PM) – or options to meet you schedule needs

Location:  Berlin NH, and outreach sites

Role: General Outpatient Neurology

Salary:  Base salary PLUS wRVU productivity

Job Description:

 

North Country Healthcare is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate specializing in Neurology to join our dynamic team at Androscoggin Valley Hospital, and outreach sites, in our outpatient specialty clinics.  This role provides comprehensive outpatient neurologic evaluation, diagnosis, and management for adolescents (age 16+) and adult patients with a wide range of neurologic conditions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage conditions that may include:
    • Migraine and chronic headache disorders
    • Memory loss and cognitive impairment
    • Essential tremor and movement disorders, including Parkinson’s disease
    • Dizziness and balance disorders
    • Epilepsy and seizure disorders
    • Multiple sclerosis and other demyelinating conditions
    • Peripheral neuropathy and neuromuscular conditions

 

  • Provide outpatient follow-up care for new and established patients.
  • Manage medications and treatment plans in accordance with current neurologic best practices.
  • Order and review diagnostic testing, imaging, and laboratory studies.
  • Provide patient and family education, counseling, and long-term disease management support.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including primary care, cardiology, orthopedics, pain management, pulmonology, sleep medicine, and therapy services to ensure coordinated, whole-person care.
  • Assist with specialty procedures and treatment management, including Botox therapy and other neurologic interventions, depending on experience and training.
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient-centered care initiatives.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Current NP or PA licensure (or eligibility) in New Hampshire
  • Minimum 2-years of experience in Neurology
  • ACLS and BLS from the American Heart Association required.
