JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under the general supervision of the Director of Radiology and Operations Supervisor, performs scheduling and coordinates simple and complex patient appointments for respective clinics both in person and over the phone using an automated patient scheduling system.  The Scheduling Specialist II triages patient problems, schedules any related tests and procedures and provides appropriate patient instructions.  Ability to communicate in an effective and competent manner to ensure positive outcome in person or on the phone. Develops collaborative relationships with peers, patients, providers and visitors.  Trains new staff and is an advanced scheduling resource for providers and mentor to staff.

EDUCATION:

High school graduate or equivalent.  Must be knowledgeable in office procedures and medical terminology.  Must have good communication skills and knowledgeable in computers.

EXPERIENCE:

One year of administrative experience required.
