INTRODUCTION TO ROLE:   
A Security Guard's responsibility is to maintain a safe, secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring the premises and personnel. The guard observes signs of crime or disorder and investigates disturbances. 

Benefit eligibility:

Seasonal roles are not eligible for health benefits.
Seasonal rolesare eligible for sick time and holiday pay.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
Familiarity with report writing
Excellent surveillance and observation skills
Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems
Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense

WHAT YOU WILL WORK WITH:

Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, and permitting entry
Obtains help by sounding alarms
Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures, and restraining trespassers
Maintains the organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements
Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
Acting lawfully in direct defense of life or property
Ensure the property is always clean, orderly, well-manicured, and guest-ready. 
Performs other duties as assigned
Provides regular and reliable attendance

WHAT YOU BRING:

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense
Registered as a security officer

WHAT IT TAKES (PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS):

The employee is occasionally required to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing up to 75 pounds.
The position requires manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
