About this role:
The Coordinator is a key member of the U.S. National Development Program (USNDP) who is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and operational support to 50 State Junior Team Programs. This role plays a critical part in tracking program compliance and supporting the successful execution and growth of the USNDP State Team Junior Program. This position will work with various USGA departments who support USNDP (e.g. communications, legal, merchandising, etc.) and the organizations involved with State Junior Team Programs (e.g. Allied Golf Associations, PGA of America Sections, etc.)
 
What you'll do:
  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for all 50 State Junior Teams Programs, delivering a high level of customer service, responsiveness and follow-through.
  • Proactively schedule and lead one-on-one check-ins with state representatives throughout the year. Develop the annual calendar and help prepare presentations.
  • Attend industry events to build and strengthen relationships with State Junior Team Programs (including IAGA annual and regional meetings, PGA Show, Annual Meeting, etc.)
  • Track program compliance including program agreement deliverables, branding guidelines, licensing and safeguarding.
  • Create forms and surveys to track state progress and best practices.
  • Administer statistical tracking programs across state junior teams.
  • Work with USGA merchandise and licensing on logo approvals, communication, and timelines.
  • Maintain and regularly update the State Junior Team database, including committee member lists, selection criteria, schedule of events, and key contacts.
  • Manage and update the State Junior Team community platform with documents and resources. Work with IT to ensure access to administrators, coaches, and captains.
  • Collect, manage and distribute State Junior Team roster information to internal stakeholders; review and verify website content for accuracy.

Where you'll be: 
This role will be based at our Liberty Corner, NJ campus on a hybrid schedule. Employees are required to spend 3 days per week working in the office, between Monday - Thursday. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are mandatory in-office community days. Employees can choose between Monday or Thursday as their third in-office day. There is a travel component to this role - approximately 10-20 days per year.

 

What you bring:

  • 2+ years of experience in sports managementbusiness administration, or related field
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field required
  • Working knowledge of the game of golf 
  • Customer-service mindset with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong follow-up skills and ability to handle issues efficiently and professionally
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment 
  • Proficiency in preparing presentations including PowerPoint and printed material
  • Digital productivity skills such as proficiency in Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to follow and execute detailed plans – able to anticipate and analyze problems and provide logical solutions
  • Willingness and ability to travel 10 to 20 days per year

Salary Range: $50,000 - $58,000

The annual base salary range for this position is $50,000 - $58,000. This range represents what we reasonably expect to pay as starting base compensation for this role. Compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including skill set, depth of experience, and relevant certifications. In addition to your base compensation, the USGA provides competitive benefit offerings for all full-time employees.
