The Opportunity
At Alera Group, our Property & Casualty team partners with businesses to identify risks, protect assets, and deliver insurance solutions that support long-term success. As a Senior Manager, Client Service, you'll help build trusted client relationships, deliver exceptional service, and provide proactive guidance that helps clients confidently navigate an evolving risk landscape.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, coach, and develop Commercial Lines Account Managers and Client Service Coordinators to achieve service, retention, and performance goals
- Oversee departmental operations, establish clear expectations, and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and client outcomes
- Maintain strong client relationships by providing strategic account oversight and ensuring exceptional service delivery
- Manage complex Commercial Property & Casualty accounts, serving as a primary point of contact and trusted insurance advisor
- Collaborate with producers, claims resources, and internal teams to support account retention, cross-selling initiatives, and business growth
- Oversee renewal and marketing activities, including submission preparation, proposal development, quotation review, and carrier negotiations
- Monitor workloads, conduct team audits, and identify opportunities to improve service standards, productivity, and scalability
- Promote a collaborative, high-performing culture through coaching, performance management, problem-solving, and effective communication

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 10+ years of experience within the Commercial Lines insurance industry.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing client service teams.
- Strong communication, negotiation, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional client service standards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and agency management systems.
Licensure (if applicable)
- Active Property & Casualty Insurance License.
- Ability to maintain all required licenses and continuing education requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Applied Epic agency management system.
- Experience leading Commercial Lines service operations within an insurance brokerage environment.
- Strong knowledge of account management, renewals, marketing, claims coordination, and carrier relationships.
- Proven success implementing operational efficiencies, process improvements, and scalable service models.
- Professional designations such as CIC, CISR, CRM, CPCU, ARM, or similar.
Compensation
- Salary Range: $140,000-160,000 annually
