A regional consulting firm is seeking a skilled Resident Engineer for their office in the Chicago suburbs.
The role involves overseeing field staff and contractors, ensuring construction meets quality standards, and providing technical advice on projects.
Candidates should have an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 5 years of experience in roadway or underground utility construction.
A P.E. license and IDOT Documentation certification are preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Salary is commensurate with experience, and applicants must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.

Regional consulting firm looking to add a talented Resident Engineer to their Chicago suburb office!

Responsibilities:

Oversee field staff and contractors on the site
Responsible for construction meeting quality standards, plans and specifications
Approve change orders, invoices, and payment applications
Provide technical advice to the design and construction of projects

Requirements:

Associates or Bachelor’s degree in engineering
P.E. license preferred
5+ years of experience with roadway and/or underground utility construction
IDOT Documentation certification preferred
Experience with Microsoft Office

Salary is commensurate with experience.
