Midwest multi-disciplined engineering firm is looking to add a Senior Water Systems Engineer to their Chicago Team!


Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of project engineers and technical support staff
  • Develop hydraulic models of water distribution systems
  • Lead team in preparation of water system master plans
  • Evaluate/design of potable water facilities
  • Manage water distribution system study and design projects
  • Work with local, state, and federal permitting agencies
  • Perform quality control reviews of water models, reports, and/or design
  • Prepare plans/specifications for construction
  • Represent firm at municipal meetings
  • Prepare competitive proposals
  • Participate in interviews
  • Assist with business development

 

Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
  • 5+ years of potable water system analysis and design experience
  • Experience in consulting engineering, public works, or construction
  • PE License or ability to obtain through reciprocity
  • Expertise in potable water hydraulic modeling (including master planning)
  • Expertise with WaterGEMs and InfoWater Pro, plus ArcGIS
  • Knowledge of basic principles of water system design/plan preparation
  • Ability to travel to client and office meetings using own transportation

 

Salary is commensurate with experience.
