About the role

We are looking for a Shipping/Receiving Handler that will be responsible for loading, unloading, stacking, shipping, transporting, receiving, and issuing materials for the site.  This person will operate forklifts, yard tractors, dok-loks, and power tools. 

Reporting to the Materials Manager and working in a challenging and exciting environment you will:

  • Champion Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) culture
  • Ensures proper packaging and labeling per customer and regulatory requirements
  • Inspection and upkeep of safety related equipment
  • Provides written documentation of material transfers, physical inventories, picking lists, bill of lading, and packing slips
  • Reviews and validates all inbound documentation and driver credentials in accordance to required DOT and CTPAT regulations
  • Offloads inbound containerized and truckload shipments and places in designated bin locations
  • Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on packing slips against purchase order
  • Enters receipt transactions into SAP to allow payment processing for invoices

About you

  • HS Diploma or GED required; Two-year degree desired
  • Certified to operate power industrial trucks
  • Experience with SAP, SIMS, MOC, CPAR, QSA
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Outlook and VMX
  • Understands requirements of 49 CFR, IATA, and IMDG regulations
  • Knowledge of DOT requirements
