Facilities Manager
Location: Bessemer City, NC
Pay: Based on experience
Status:Â Full-time
Company-paid international training: travel, hotel accommodation, and per-diem
**US Passport and Chinese Visa costs reimbursed by employer. Must be able to travel to China for an estimated 45 days for training upon hire.**
What You’ll Do
- Direct daily maintenance, repair, and operation of the manufacturing facility, production-support areas, warehouses, offices, grounds, and infrastructure.
- Establish preventive and predictive maintenance programs and maintain accurate work orders, inspections, asset records, and maintenance history through the approved CMMS.
- Ensure reliable operation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, water, cleanroom environmental controls, fire and life-safety systems, access controls, and other production-support utilities.
- Lead the response to equipment failures, utility interruptions, alarms, and emergencies; troubleshoot root causes, restore service safely, and communicate production or quality impacts promptly.
- Supervise, schedule, train, and evaluate facilities personnel; assign priorities, verify completed work, and enforce lockout/tagout, permits, PPE, and other safe-work practices.
- Manage contractors, service vendors, facility projects, operating and capital budgets, spare parts, service contracts, utility usage, and maintenance performance.
- Partner with Quality, EHS, Production, Engineering, and Security to support GMP and OSHA requirements, audits, corrective actions, applicable codes, shutdowns, emergency preparedness, and business continuity.

What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, industrial technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent technical education, trade training, and experience may be considered.
- At least five years of facilities or industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least two years of leadership or supervisory responsibility.
- Experience supporting a GMP, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, medical-device, or similarly regulated manufacturing facility is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of industrial building systems, utilities, preventive maintenance, contractor safety, lockout/tagout, OSHA requirements, NFPA standards, and building and fire codes.
- Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems and demonstrated ability to manage budgets, vendors, work orders, facility projects, outages, and competing priorities.
- Strong troubleshooting, leadership, organization, decision-making, and communication skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and provide after-hours support when required.
