Bell & Evans is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Lead to help keep our production operation running safely, efficiently, and reliably. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, solving problems, and helping a maintenance team succeed.
As a Maintenance Lead, you will take an active role in equipment repairs, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and daily maintenance operations. You will help ensure work is completed safely and efficiently while supporting the Maintenance Supervisor and maintenance team.

What You'll Do
As a Maintenance Lead, you will help maintain and repair the machinery and equipment that keeps our production operation moving.
Key responsibilities include:
- Troubleshoot mechanical equipment by observing operation and identifying the source of problems
- Diagnose equipment issues and determine the appropriate repair
- Disassemble equipment to access defective or damaged components
- Inspect parts for wear, damage, and other imperfections
- Repair or replace defective parts and components
- Adjust equipment and control instruments to ensure proper operation
- Install new equipment and replacement components as needed
- Perform preventative maintenance, lubrication, and cleaning of equipment
- Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper performance
- Repair and maintain electrical equipment
- Operate machine shop equipment such as lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other tools to fabricate or repair parts
- Assist with ordering parts, equipment, and supplies needed for maintenance repairs
- Help prioritize maintenance work and communicate equipment concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor
- Support maintenance team members with troubleshooting, repairs, and daily work assignments
- Promote safe work practices and immediately address safety or quality concerns
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work environment
- Attend technical training, vocational programs, and specialized training to stay current with company technology and equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous maintenance experience or technical training preferred
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or production equipment is a plus
- Ability to read and understand technical instructions, safety procedures, and equipment documentation
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to participate in technical training and specialized maintenance programs
Physical Requirements
This position requires frequent walking, standing, reaching, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and working around industrial equipment. The Maintenance Lead must be comfortable using lifts and working in various positions to safely access equipment.
Candidates must be able to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds. The position also requires the ability to use hands and fingers to handle tools and equipment and the ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively to troubleshoot and repair machinery.
