Bell & Evans is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Maintenance Planner and Scheduler to support our Maintenance Department. This position plays an important role in keeping our equipment, people, and production schedules moving efficiently by planning and coordinating maintenance activities across the facility.

The Maintenance Planner and Scheduler will work closely with Maintenance leadership, Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, Sanitation, Production Scheduling, and outside service providers to ensure maintenance work is properly planned, scheduled, resourced, and completed.

What You'll Do

  • Plan, prioritize, and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance work.
  • Create, maintain, and update maintenance work orders in Business Central or the applicable maintenance management system.
  • Develop daily, weekly, and longer-term maintenance schedules.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities around production schedules and planned downtime to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Review work requests to determine scope, priority, labor requirements, parts, tools, safety considerations, and scheduling needs.
  • Coordinate with MRO, Purchasing, Maintenance, and vendors to ensure parts, materials, tools, and services are available before work begins.
  • Coordinate outside preventive maintenance and service work and maintain appropriate vendor documentation.
  • Maintain accurate equipment records, asset information, preventive maintenance schedules, work histories, and work order documentation.
  • Monitor maintenance backlog, schedule compliance, work order completion, labor utilization, downtime, and other maintenance metrics.
  • Support reporting related to maintenance labor hours, completed and open work, delayed work, and maintenance activity.
  • Communicate schedule changes, priority conflicts, parts delays, downtime requirements, and work status to Maintenance leadership and affected departments.
  • Identify opportunities to improve maintenance planning, preventive maintenance effectiveness, equipment reliability, cost control, and workflow efficiency.
  • Support maintenance staffing and resource planning by reviewing workload, backlog, downtime trends, and labor requirements.
  • Promote a safe, clean, organized, and efficient work environment while following all Bell & Evans safety, food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, vendors, and leadership.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred:

  • Three or more years of experience in maintenance, maintenance planning or scheduling, manufacturing, industrial operations, reliability, or a related field.
  • Technical, trade school, maintenance, industrial technology, or related training.
  • Experience using Business Central, ERP systems, CMMS, work order systems, or maintenance planning software.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Experience with parts planning, plant operations, maintenance workflow, or reliability programs.
  • Maintenance, reliability, planning, scheduling, safety, forklift, or related technical certifications.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
