Supports purchasing operations by managing vendor relationships, processing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and monitoring inventory levels to ensure cost-effective purchasing. RESPONSIBILITIES: Other responsibilities include, but not limited to: Create, track, and process purchase orders while updating order data, including invoices and delivery dates. Maintains accurate records, assessing stock levels, and reducing spoilage. Communicates with suppliers regarding availability, pricing, and delivery timelines. Coordinates incoming shipments and sometimes routing deliveries. Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with potential vendors for the best prices and quality. Monitor inventory levels to ensure necessary products are in stock, preventing shortages. Maintain accurate supplier/product databases and prepare reports on purchases and costs. Verify, receive, and inspect incoming deliveries against purchase orders. Performs other duties associated with the position that are reasonably assigned to support the overall needs of the business”. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in related field like business or supply chain management preferred 2+ years in purchasing, retail, or food industry logistics preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and ERP/buying systems. Strong analytical ability, negotiation skills, and ability to handle high-volume, fast-paced work. Strong written and communication skills. Must work well in a team environment Able to stand for an extended period and ability to lift 50 lbs.
