Senior Oracle Database Administrator

Position Summary

The Senior Oracle Database Administrator will provide administration, maintenance, monitoring, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and security support for mission-critical Oracle databases supporting NICHD enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Administer Oracle databases in Azure cloud environments.
• Manage Oracle Data Guard configurations.
• Perform backup and recovery using RMAN and related technologies.
• Configure and support Oracle GoldenGate replication.
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Implement security controls and database hardening.
• Support application deployments and database releases.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years Oracle Database Administration experience.
• Experience with Oracle 19c, Oracle Data Guard, Oracle GoldenGate, RMAN, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and Linux-based Oracle environments.
• Advanced SQL and PL/SQL skills.
• Strong performance tuning and troubleshooting expertise.

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle certifications.
• MySQL administration experience.
• Azure cloud database experience.
