Position Summary: 

ANSER is seeking a Technical Writer/Editor to provide direct support for an Intelligence Community customer. This role will support technical writing/editing, visual formatting, and document management requirements. You will provide senior-level technical writing, editorial support, and document control to ensure clarity and consistency of research and acquisition documentation.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Draft, edit, and format technical and programmatic documentation.
  • Review documents for clarity, consistency, and compliance with standards.
  • Develop templates and formatting guidelines.
  • Maintain document control systems and version tracking.
  • Upload publications into the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) publication library system, ensuring public availability.
  • Support development of visual elements and graphics within written products.
  • Coordinate with technical staff to translate complex material into clear written content.
  • Prepare briefing materials and executive-level reports.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in technical writing or editing within the Intelligence Community or Department of Defense.
  • Demonstrated experience editing technical or acquisition documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience managing document control processes.
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance with polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting research and development documentation.
  • Experience supporting a demanding, fast-paced customer environment requiring flexibility, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Strong written communication and formatting skills.
