POSITION SUMMARY: Moravian University’s School of Business and Economics invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Practice in Management, beginning Fall 2026. The position is subject to renewal, based on performance and budget availability. Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. in Management or a related field from an accredited institution or Master's degree with at least five years of industry experience. Advanced ABDs will be considered.
Located in historic Bethlehem, PA, Moravian University is recognized as the sixth oldest University in the United States. The programs in the School of Economics and Business are nationally accredited by ACBSP.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach a 4-4 load of undergraduate management courses in multiple modalities (on-site, online, hybrid)
- Develop and teach courses in one or more of the following areas: Principles of Management, Strategy, Leadership, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources
- Provide substantive academic advising and mentoring for undergraduate students (majors, minors, first-year students, and others)
- Maintain active engagement in professional practice, applied research, or pedagogical innovation
- Supervise experiential learning or management research projects
- Participate in professional organizations and contribute to a diverse, inclusive academic community.
- Engage fully in the academic life of the School of Business and Economics, including program development, curriculum innovation, assessment, and participation in school-wide initiatives.
- Demonstrated expertise in Human Resources, Strategic Management, Leadership, and Organizational Behavior
- Ph.D. in Management or a related field (ABD considered); or
- Master’s degree and 5+ years of professional management leadership experience
- Strong background in integrated AI or emerging technologies in management
