The Lodge (The Mental Health Recovery Lodge of Northampton County) is a supportive housing and recovery program for adults with mental illness in Northampton County. The Lodge provides affordable housing, and a supportive environment designed to promote recovery, stability and the inherent ability to succeed. The emphasis of the Lodge is not on managing symptoms, but on increasing the quality of life as defined by the individual.

The Lodge is one of the many programs of RHD, a national human services nonprofit, founded in 1970. Position Summary:
The Assistant Program Director provides leadership to staff in collaboration with the Program Director. The Assistant Director will assist the director with staff supervision, training and hiring of staff. The APD is responsible for helping to ensure all program operations are conducted in an ethical and professional manner. A commitment to the RHD values should be demonstrated as job duties are performed.
Leadership, Staff Management and Organizational Strategy
路 Supervise Site Supervisors, Program Specialists, Medical Staff, and Direct Support Professionals to include daily operations, supervision practices, implementation of consumer plans, and documentation.
路 In collaboration with the Fiscal Administrator or Office Manager, provide oversight to the recruitment process, including scheduling candidates for and participating in interviews. Oversee the hiring and orientation of new staff as necessary.
路 Support the management team with documentation around supervision to include progressive discipline as warranted.
Quality Assurance
路 Reviews site documentation in preparation for audits, both internal and external.
Finance, Development, and other Operations
路 Supports the Unit Director in adhering to license, funder, and budget requirements.
路 Provide support and intervention for individuals and staff during a crisis.
路 Create an environment that empowers individuals through the development of skills and coordination of resources and supportive services.
路 Visit program sites as needed.
路 Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
路 A Bachelor鈥檚 degree in social work, psychology, human services or related field from an accredited institution preferred.
路 At least 5 years' work experience in mental health/IDD direct service and 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
路 Working knowledge of Microsoft Products and Applications.
路 Valid Driver鈥檚 License and personal vehicle.
路 Subject to employment screenings, including FBI clearance, if applicable.
