What You’ll Do

The Associate Therapist facilitates individual and group sessions with clients, mentors direct care staff, and works collaboratively within treatment teams. Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Facilitating individual therapy sessions within the framework of Newport Healthcare’s clinical model
  • Facilitating clinical and experiential group therapy sessions to support healing and connection
  • Participating in screenings, intakes, orientations, assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning
  • Attending trainings and clinical supervision sessions to enhance your skills and broaden your knowledge
  • Serving as a vital part of your clients’ multidisciplinary treatment teams
  • Supporting the team with crisis prevention, intervention, and management as needed

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Master’s degree in a clinical discipline (required)
  • Board registered to accrue hours towards licensure in the state where services are provided (required)
  • Experience facilitating therapy with children, teens, and/or young adults (preferred)
