The Mental Health Professional (family based) is the lead member of a multidisciplinary team and is responsible for treatment plan development. The Mental Health Professional serves as team leader providing team and individually delivered therapy and case management to children and their families in the home and/or community. Therapists work with the child and family to improve overall family attachments and cohesion, self-regulation, and anchor a support system. This position is required to work hours that coincide with client schedules, including day, evening, and/or weekend hours.Do you have experience, are looking to make an impact, and actively improve the lives of families, children, and adolescents? We promote teamwork, offer supervision toward licensure, provide training through the Philadelphia Child and Family Therapy Training Center toward Eco-systemic Structural Family Therapy Model certification, and offer a $1,000 stay bonus applied during the first 12 months of employment.
Bonus: Employees sign-on bonus of $1,000.00 paid in 3 increments.
Responsibilities:
Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy within an outpatient program setting, primarily located within a school district
Demonstrate experience working with children’s behavioral health issues in an outpatient or similar level of care
Maintain compliance with CASSP principles and principles of cultural competence
Maintain compliance with Medical Assistance and Managed Care regulations in accordance with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s outpatient program regulations
Communicate with families, schools, school districts, managed care organizations, referral sources, and other providers to ensure satisfaction with services, continuity of care, and quality client care
Promote program growth and quality of services
Maintain productivity and complete documentation within established guidelines
Complete initial assessments, treatment plans, and updates within established program timelines
Attend staff trainings and supervision as assigned
Assist in preparation for external/internal audits and reviews
Participate in commercial insurance credentialing process and maintain eligibility

Position Requirements:
Education: Master’s Level Therapist (Mental Health Professional) Qualifications
- Graduate Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Education, Rehabilitation or any Human Services related field
- Additional requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass required background clearances and screenings (FBI, Childline, Criminal, driving record)
Work Experience:Â
- Previous experience working with children and families in an outpatient setting.
- At least 2 years working with children and adolescence (CASSP family based)
