St. Joseph Hospital, located in Bethpage NY, is a not-for-profit full service, 203-bed, community hospital that plays a paramount role in its communities. The Emergency Department cares for over 34,000 patients a year. The hospital has achieved disease specific certification for its Stroke Program which is designated by NYS as a Gold Plus Center.  Other vital services include the St. Francis Imaging Center at St. Joseph Hospital, a state-of-the-art cardiac CT scanner, MRI, Vascular Laboratory, Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine, Center for Sleep Medicine, Center for Swallowing, Speech & Voice, and comprehensive in-patient medical, critical care and surgical services.

Responsibilities:

• The Pharmacist follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures regarding the preparation, storage, control and dispensation of inpatient and outpatient medication prescribed by members of the Medical and Dental Staff.
• Staff pharmacists fill orders for parenteral and enteral medications, monitor patient drug therapies, and provide drug information.
• Staff pharmacists supervise and direct support personnel. In the absence of the pharmacy manager, a staff pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the pharmacy manager.

Requirements:

• PharmD required.
• Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of New York.

• Hospital experience is desired
