    • Days: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM

Join our team as a Children’s Unit Nurse! Our Children’s Unit provides compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients while working closely with families and the multidisciplinary care team.

Our Maternal Child division includes seven Labor and Delivery beds, a four-bed triage area, a 16-bed Mother/Baby Unit, a Children’s Unit, and a Level II Neonatal Special Care Unit (NSCU) with private and open-bay rooms. The department supports approximately 1,000 deliveries annually and includes dedicated obstetric OR suites, a 24/7 UPH OB Hospitalist program, and CRNA coverage. We offer a supportive, collaborative environment with a preceptor-led orientation for both new and experienced nurses

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient and family needs, provide education, and coordinate referrals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care utilizing the nursing process, clinical expertise, and evidence-based practice.
  • Monitor patient conditions, apply critical thinking skills, and make independent clinical judgments to support positive patient outcomes.
  • Accurately and promptly document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
  • Delegate and coordinate patient care activities while providing guidance and support to other healthcare team members.
  • Promote patient safety and education by utilizing age-appropriate teaching strategies, preventing errors and infections, and supporting patients and families throughout their care journey.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Diploma from an RN program.

License(s)/Certification(s):

  • Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state.
    • Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state.
  • Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Must possess and maintain ACLS
