Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and outgoing Barista to join our bakery, Beverly Hills Cookies! In this role, you will welcome customers into the cookie/coffee shop and prepare their orders. Your goal is to ensure customers enjoy their experience at our shop. The ideal candidate is passionate about cookies& coffee and is willing to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.

We are looking for someone who:

has a bubbly, positive and outgoing personality
works well in a fast-paced environment
is available to work evening shifts and weekends (required)
has barista experience (preferred, but we're willing to train the right candidate with a great attitude)
loves providing exceptional customer service
is reliable, punctual, and a strong team player

Responsibilities:

Welcome customers into the shop with a smile
Take food and beverage orders
Explain the menu items to customers
Create a variety of espresso-based drinks, from basic to more complex
Enter orders into the POS system with accuracy and efficiency
Bus tables and wipe down surfaces
Maintain a clean work environment

Qualifications:

Familiarity with food safety guidelines
ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification or ability to obtain shortly after hiring
Excellent customer service skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
Ability to stand for extended periods
