Job Duties
- Performs a variety of more difficult technical and supportive professional engineering tasks.
- Attends meetings for preliminary plan discussion.Â
- Reviews and recommend approval of plans submitted with subdivision applications for underground utility installation, construction by other governmental units, and plans for all work conducted.Â
- Reviews associated drainage.Â
- Coordinates pre-construction meeting.Â
- Attends numerous meetings with other Road Commission departments and various outside governmental and private agencies relative to permit activities.
- Must perform duties in a professional and courteous manner to promote a positive image of the Road Commission for Oakland County.
- Regular and predictable onsite job attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Requires a daily schedule that supports RCOC hours of operation.
Special Experience/Education
- A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- A minimum of one to three (1-3) years of experience commensurate with the duties described above is required.
- Must possess and maintain a valid State of Michigan driver's license.
