Engineering - Technician

Working alongside the Director of Engineering at The Peninsula Beverly Hills, we are seeking an Engineer Technician who will be responsible for making sure the guest rooms, public space, and back of the house areas are in good repair by performing various tasks including not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and air conditioning.

Key Accountabilities

•    Repair, or replace items such as light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, hardware, filters, caulking, grouting or other miscellaneous items.
•    Perform daily inspections, maintenance, and repairs on plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and other hotel systems.
•    Conduct preventive maintenance on guest rooms, common areas, and equipment such as refrigerators, ice machines, and exhaust fans

 

General Requirements

•    High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training in maintenance, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
•    5+ years of experience in the maintenance engineering role in hotel setting, preferred luxury hotels or commercial building
•    Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and basic building maintenance procedures.
•    Los Angeles CPO preferred
•    Ability to work independently and with a team
•    Must be able to work nights and weekends
