Manager of Revenue Cycle

Beverly Hills Cancer Center is seeking an experienced, full-time Manager of Revenue Cycle to oversee daily revenue cycle operations, optimize billing and collections, improve cash flow, and ensure accurate and timely revenue cycle processes.

About the Role

The Manager of Revenue Cycle will lead and develop the billing and collections function while partnering with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to improve revenue cycle performance. This hands-on role will oversee policies, procedures, staffing, training, reporting, technology, and process improvement.

The Manager will be responsible for maximizing collections, reducing bad debt, managing accounts receivable, ensuring accurate charge capture and claims processing, and maintaining compliance with organizational policies and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, train, and develop the billing and collections team, including oversight of outsourced billing partners.
  • Establish and monitor revenue cycle KPIs, reporting, workflows, and performance metrics.
  • Identify and resolve revenue cycle issues and implement scalable process improvements.
  • Oversee charge capture, claims submission, payment processing, denials, accounts receivable, and collections.
  • Monitor A/R aging, outstanding charges over 90 days, credit balances, and bad debt; provide regular reports to management.
  • Ensure accurate deposits, patient demographics, billing data, and practice management system integrity.
  • Ensure timely correction and resubmission of rejected and denied claims.
  • Monitor billing, coding, and reimbursement practices and identify trends or opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain processes for insurance verification, patient eligibility, self-pay accounts, and third-party coverage requirements.
  • Partner with Operations to ensure patients understand insurance and payment requirements prior to appointments.
  • Coordinate with credentialing and operational teams regarding new providers and payer enrollment.
  • Ensure billing statements and bad-debt write-offs are processed according to established policies and procedures.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue cycle and financial reports.
  • Support strategic planning and organization-wide revenue cycle initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in healthcare, MedTech, diagnostics, or pharmaceutical organizations, including at least 5 years of progressive medical billing experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle management, billing, collections, coding, and reimbursement.
  • Demonstrated expertise in metrics, analytics, reporting, and process improvement.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, mentor, and develop teams.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across departments and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of applicable healthcare laws, regulations, payer requirements, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and healthcare/practice management systems.
  • Hands-on, self-motivated approach with a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Must be onsite Monday through Friday.
