Position Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager - Permitting to join our Project Delivery team. In this role, you’ll lead an individual workload and collaborate with a team of project managers to drive successful execution of high-profile and complex permitting projects and programs across the country. You’ll work closely with clients, municipal agencies, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless, on-time project delivery while advancing best-in-class service standards.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Manage the full lifecycle of permit-related projects—from initial filing to certificate of occupancy or completion.
  • Own and manage complex ground-up permitting programs, serving as the primary driver of approvals while overseeing contributors assigned to support specific tasks or jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate and communicate with clients, plans examiners, and internal teams.
  • Serve as the central point of contact on assigned projects, ensuring status updates and alignment with client expectations.
  • Oversee deliverables including entitlements, timelines, and risk tracking.
     Resolve project challenges with professionalism and urgency.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and project quality standards.
  • Prepare reports, documentation, and milestone updates for leadership and clients.
  • Contribute to productivity goals and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Serve as a mentor for other project team members

 

What You’ll Bring

Required:

  • Min 2 years of experience in construction management, architecture, or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, Law or a related field.
  • Strong project leadership, client communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience collaborating with internal and external project teams, with the ability to motivate, delegate, and drive accountability across multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work on complex projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.

 

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of permitting workflows, municipal codes, and development processes.
  • Experience with multi-state or national rollouts in retail, hospitality, or commercial sectors.

 

Work Environment & Schedule

  • This position is based in Los Angeles with a hybrid schedule.
  • Standard working hours are Monday–Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm, minimum 40 hours/week.
  • Travel requirements: occasional visits to client sites and municipal agencies.

 

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $80,000 – $95,000 annually, based on knowledge, skills, and experience.
