Job Description:

  • As an RN in Endoscopy, you will assume responsibility to lead the Endoscopy patient care team in providing quality patient care. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care from admission to discharge. Assists the physician with diagnostic/therapeutic endoscopic procedures and monitors the physiological status of the patient throughout the pre, intra and post-procedure periods. Maintains departmental on-call responsibilities during off-shifts, weekends and holidays, on a rotating basis.           

                                                                                              

    Acts as a role model to staff members and directs, assigns and supervises ancillary staff team members in providing the appropriate level of care most efficiently. Is able to effectively manage the team work concept and remains flexible in response to changes. Demonstrates a commitment to evidence-based practice and performs by the philosophy, established policies and procedures, and standards of the Nursing Division, Endoscopy Department, and the Hospital.  

    36 hours a week, Full-time day shift, Monday-Friday. 


    On-call is required. The average amount of on-call is 4-5 shifts per month. Weekday hours will be either 5:30 pm-11 pm or 11pm-6 am and weekend and holidays are 7am-7 pm or 7 pm-7 am. You are paid an hourly on-call rate, and if called in, you will be paid time and a half. 

    Education/Experience:  

    Graduate of an accredited school of nursing                                                

    BSN preferred                                                                                                        

    Previous Endoscopy, ED, Surgical &/or ICU/CCU experience preferred              

    Previous IV insertion experience preferred.                                              

    Previous experience with Procedural Sedation preferred  

    Certification/License:  Current Massachusetts RN Licensure Basic Life Support (AHA)  Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA) 

 

 

Pay Range:

$36.00 - $79.12

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time.  The pay range for this position is established and governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
