We're looking for a compassionate, energetic, and team-oriented Medical Assistant who is ready to jump in, keep the day running smoothly, and help create a positive experience for every family who walks through our doors.

As a Medical Assistant, you'll be an essential part of our care team, working alongside our physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and support staff to deliver outstanding pediatric care. No two days are ever the same, and that's exactly how we like it!

What You'll Be Doing

Every day brings new opportunities to make a difference. You'll:

• Welcome patients and families with a warm, friendly attitude
• Room patients, collect medical histories, obtain vital signs and measurements, and prepare children for their visit
• Perform clinical procedures including:
  • Capillary blood testing
  • Vision and hearing screenings
  • Specimen collection
  • Fluoride varnish application
• Review allergies, medications, and other pre-visit information using our electronic medical record
• Accurately document patient information in the EMR
• Help keep exam rooms clean, organized, and fully stocked
• Coordinate and monitor referrals to specialists and outside providers
• Follow up with families to ensure recommended care has been completed
• Practice excellent infection control and safety standards
• Work closely with providers and teammates to keep the office running efficiently
• Provide compassionate, age-appropriate, and culturally sensitive care to every patient and family

Requirements

• Is positive, dependable, and enjoys being part of a collaborative team
• Can stay organized and multitask in a busy medical office
• Has excellent communication and customer service skills
• Is comfortable using electronic medical records, Microsoft Office, and email
• Understands the importance of confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
• Can work independently while supporting the entire care team

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Medical Assistant certification preferred, but not required
• Pediatric or medical office experience is a plus—we're happy to train the right person!

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• Lift and carry medical supplies, equipment, infants, and small children as needed
• Bend, stand, walk, and sit throughout the workday
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and coworkers
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
