What you will do:

Ferroglobe’s Maintenance Technician maintains production and quality by ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

•    Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive and reactive maintenance on electric arc furnaces, material handling systems, overhead cranes, industrial dust collectors, etc.; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, engineering specifications and safety policies; troubleshooting malfunctions.

•    Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.

•    Removes and replaces defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.

•    Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.

•    Adjusts functional parts of equipment by using hand and power tools, levels, and straightedges.

•    Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop and weld shop instrumentation and equipment.

•    Ability to work in very high and low temperatures.

•    Welding:  2 years + (Preferred)

Pay Grades:

•    Tech 1: Entry Level with applicable skillset.

•    Tech 2: Familiar with all areas of the plant, can contribute to any maintenance task.

•    Tech 3: Mastery Level, leads tasks and projects, can serve as backup to Maintenance Supervisor.

Schedule:

•    10 hour shift

•    12 hour shift

•    8 hour shift 

Salary:   $29.04 - $31.99 per hour

Working Environment: 

•    Performs jobs under varying conditions (dust, oil, grease, hot and humid temperatures, fumes, noise, etc.)

•    Ability to lift 50lbs, Floor to waist, Waist to shoulder. Overhead, Carry 20 feet

•    Wears proper PPE in the manufacturing area (shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection)

•    This Person must pass a background check and Drug Screen
