Job Description:

Beverly Hospital,Ā locatedĀ in Beverly Massachusetts is part of the Beth Israel Lahey Health System. The Beverly PACU consists of 15 PACU bays, 10 Pre-op holding bays, and 6 Surgical Day Care bays. Beverly Hospital,Ā locatedĀ in BeverlyĀ Massachusetts,Ā is part of the Lahey Health System. WeĀ provideĀ a wide range of specialtiesĀ including;Ā orthopedics, GYN, general, vascular, thoracic, spine, pediatrics,Ā cysto, and ENT. TheĀ Peri anesthesiaĀ Registered NurseĀ is responsible forĀ providing safe patient care for patients before and after operative and other invasive procedures. In this role, you will assume responsibility for the care of theĀ peri anesthesiaĀ patient includingĀ assess,Ā plan,Ā implementĀ andĀ evaluateĀ patient care during theĀ peri anesthesiaĀ phases of care. You willĀ be responsible forĀ directing and supervising ancillary staff members in providing theĀ appropriate levelĀ of care in theĀ most safe andĀ efficient manner.Ā 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:Ā 

  • Administers nursing care within the scope of hospital policies and procedures, Massachusetts state regulations and standards of practice issued by the American Nurses Association.Ā Ā 

  • Follows guidelines ofĀ peri anesthesiaĀ practice through recommendations of The American Society ofĀ Peri AnesthesiaĀ Nurses (ASPAN).Ā Ā Ā 

  • Must be able to take assignment of ā€œon-callā€ specified nights, weekends, and holidaysĀ Ā 

Ā Ā 

  • ConsistentlyĀ maintainsĀ a courteous, helpful, and professional manner with all interactions with all patients, theirĀ familiesĀ and staff members.Ā 

  • AssistsĀ co-workers with tasks to help meet the needs of the Perioperative Services to ensure efficiency andĀ PatientĀ flow.Ā 

  • Acts as an advocate for patients and their families.Ā Ā 

  • DeliversĀ care in a manner that preserves/protects patientĀ autonomy, dignity, confidentiality, and rights.Ā 

  • Understands the legal implications of charting and documentation of patient care.Ā 

  • In emergency/crisis situations,Ā demonstratesĀ effective decision making and prioritizing patient needs toĀ InitiateĀ appropriate responses.Ā 

  • ParticipatesĀ in the quality improvement/ quality assurance process at the unit level.Ā

  • Performs all other duties as needed or directed to meet the needs of the Perioperative Services department.Ā 

Minimum Qualifications:Ā 

Education: BSN preferredĀ 

Licensure, Certification, Registration:Ā Current MA RN license, BCLS/ACLS/PALSĀ required, certification in specialty area preferredĀ 

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:Ā Communicates clearly and effectively with all team members. Has theĀ physicalĀ capacity/ability to move patients and equipment as patient care needsĀ indicate.Ā 

Experience:Ā At least 1-2 years of work experienceĀ peri anesthesia, ER, or critical careĀ

Pay Range:

$36.00 - $79.12

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time.Ā  The pay range for this position is established and governed by the terms ofĀ the applicable collective bargainingĀ agreement. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
