SHIFT: 12 Hour Shifts
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Licensed Nurse and following the Scope of Service, this position will work collaboratively with the other staff members and medical staff to serve the residents/patients of the Skilled Nursing and Acute Nursing Units.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Provides quality patient care for residents and Acute patients
- Provides age-specific and culturally sensitive care to residents/patients
- Communicates clearly and concisely with others to meet resident/patient care needs
- Takes responsibility for personal and professional growth
- Supports and participates in hospital wide quality initiatives
- Adheres to regulatory and compliance standards
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education (or substitute experience) Required:
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification
- AHA BLS certification
Education (or substitute experience) Preferred:
- High School or equivalent
Minimum Experience Required
- Completion of Certified Nursing course
- Licensed nursing school in progress or completion
Experience Preferred:
- Previous Healthcare experience preferred, but not mandatory
SKILLS
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal, written and listening skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer skills
