SHIFT: 8 Hour Shifts
POSITION SUMMARY
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) provides direct clinical services and program leadership under The Mom & Dad Project’s Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) contract. This role delivers trauma-informed, culturally responsive mental health services to children, youth, adults, and families in community, school-based, and cbo-based settings. The LCSW ensures compliance with Medi-Cal, DBH, CalAIM, and documentation standards while supporting integrated care, community partnerships, and quality improvement initiatives.

Supervision & Capacity Building (if assigned)
- Participate in Quality Improvement (QI) activities, data review, and performance improvement projects
- Use data to improve service delivery and outcomes
- Participate in meetings, trainings, community collaborations, and contract-related activities
- Support outreach, engagement, and community education efforts
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education (or substitute experience) Required:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California
- Eligible for credentialing with Medi-Cal and County DBH
- Credentialed to practice within scope at The Mom & Dad Project
- BLS Certification within 3 months of hire

Minimum Experience Required:
- Knowledge of community mental health and Medi-Cal systems
Experience Preferred:
- Experience in community-based, school-based, or integrated care settings
- Experience working with children, youth, and families
- Experience with trauma-informed, culturally responsive care
- One-year experience working in an outpatient clinic
- Knowledge of EMR system or ability to learn and use the Electronic Medical Record system
Skills:
- Ability to meet productivity and documentation standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to use communication skills to enhance learning through motivation, associations and repetition
- Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office
- Must have the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other members of the health care team
- Must be able to withstand stressful situations
- Critical thinking skills
- Good clinical understanding of adult mental health, diagnosis in the DSM IV-TR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred
