Position Summary

Seeking an experienced Project Manager to support New Product Introduction (NPI) programs for a high-precision medical contract manufacturer. This role serves as the central point of coordination between customers, engineering, quality, operations, and manufacturing, ensuring products move from prototyping to production with clear plans, disciplined execution, and effective communication.

The Project Manager is the customer contact and internal leader for programs, with responsibility for delivering projects on time, on budget, and to agreed scope and quality requirements. The role establishes expectations, manages schedules and budgets, identifies and mitigates risks, drives cross-functional accountability, and keeps customers and leadership informed of progress and issues.  Success in this role requires strong project leadership, manufacturing knowledge, and communication skills.

This position will be 100% on-site in Big Lake, MN.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with the Sales and Technical Solution teams to transition new business opportunities into the corresponding site.
  • Lead customer interactions for individual programs, with a strong focus on customer expectation management. Responsible for control and communications of project/program level risks, issue management, and project quality
  • With limited oversight, direct and coordinate program activities (schedule adherence, program budget, milestones, scope changes, and design-to-cost) while leading personnel responsible for specific functions throughout the life cycle phases of program. Guide successful completion of projects through collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality.
  • Partner with departments to align resources requirements and project expectations.
  • Assist with transition and ramp plans for NPI into production, teaming with operation to ensure equipment, staffing, and quality requirements align with expected production quantities and costing.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of relevant experience in project/program management, engineering, operations, or NPI within a manufacturing environment; equivalent combinations of education and experience considered.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Must be able to convey business and technical concepts to a diverse customer base and to internal technical teams in a clear and concise manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and lead cross-functional team/projects and meet the needs of stakeholders.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft programs including MS Project to develop schedules, allocate resources, and establish program budgets.
  • Familiarity with medical device regulations and quality standards, such as FDA guidelines, ISO 13485.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
  • Proficient in multi-tasking between several development activities
  • Ability to travel between Precera Medical sites as needed

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with account management or sales
  • Experience in a precision machine shop environment
  • PMP certified
  • Masters Degree, MBA or other advanced degree

 

Compensation and Benefits Overview

Starting Pay Range for this position is $95,000- $130,000 annually.  This position is eligible to participate in the company’s bonus program.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with applicable county or city regulations if they exceed the listed range. Actual pay rates are determined based on various factors, including but not limited to, local labor market conditions, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language proficiency, and other job-specific qualifications.
