The role of Logistics Clerk provides administrative and clerical support within the Shipping Department to achieve effective and efficient packaging and shipping processes for carbon black manufacturing. The Logistics Clerk maintains accurate records, produces key reports and communicates with all related functional departments at the local plant.
| • | Perform general office related tasks including but not limited to the following:

| • | Generate shipping paperwork for all daily shipments |  |
| • | Communicate with onsite lab personnel to obtain product quality approval |  |
| • | Forwards shipping confirmations to customers and ensure appropriate placards are affixed to shipments |  |
| • | Produce, review and distribute shipping schedules and instructions |  |
| • | Validate and log all car weights from the railroad and communicate information directly to the customer and corporate |  |
| • | Create copies of production (railcar and truck) shipments for local and corporate office tracking |  |
| • | Review, validate and process bills of laden (BOL) for all incoming and outgoing shipments |  |
| • | Transmit load ahead cars |  |
| • | Other duties as needed by the Shipping Department or as assigned by supervisor |
| • | High School Diploma/Equivalent |  |
| • | Excellent verbal and written communication skills |  |
| • | 1-2 years direct experience using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, etc |  |
| • | Minimum of 2 years computer based inventory control software control experience |
