Who We Are

Factorial Energy is a pioneering U.S.-based solid-state battery company driving the future of energy storage and electrification. Partnered with global leaders, including Mercedes-Benz, Stellantis, Hyundai, and Kia, Factorial is at the forefront of developing next-generation e-mobility platforms for commercial, defense, and consumer applications—spanning electric vehicles (EVs), drones, eVTOL aircraft, power tools, marine systems, robotics, and more. The company has achieved multiple industry firsts, including being the first to power a demonstration vehicle with a global OEM (Mercedes- Benz), which achieved over 1,200 km (749 mi) of range, and the first to earn UN 38.3 certification for automotive-sized lithium-metal solid-state cells, and the first to deliver B-samples of automotive-sized solid-state batteries to major OEMs.

In this role, you will:

  • Support daily solid electrolyte production to meet both internal development needs and external customer demand.
  • Lead and support solid electrolyte process development, scaling processes from lab-scale experiments to pilot line and eventually to full-scale production.
  • Work closely with equipment vendors to support equipment selection, purchasing, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting to ensure reliable operation.
  • Optimize and improve slurry preparation, coating, and drying processes to achieve consistent product quality and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, production, and engineering to support process transfer and scale-up activities.
  • bnjMaintain detailed documentation of process conditions, experimental results, and production data.

We are looking for people who:

• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment, with a willingness to work hands- on in the lab and adapt to a fast-paced environment and shifting priorities.

• Have experience with coating processes, such as doctor blade coating or roll-to-roll coating, preferably in glovebox environments.

• Have experience with slurry preparation and mixing, including familiarity with different mixer types.

• Are detail-oriented with strong hands-on skills and good manual dexterity.

• Are a team player with strong communication skills, able to work effectively with colleagues across different functions.
