Job Description

  

Job Summary:

Focuses on developing reliable test software solutions and maintaining test stations that support the production floor. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that improve manufacturing processes. Prepare test and diagnostic programs, design test fixtures and equipment, and complete specifications and procedures for new products. Provide test engineering support and drive continuous improvement across all production products. Engage with engineers and stakeholders outside of engineering to review manufacturing processes, goals, and current status.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deploy software solutions that automate production tasks, enable robust data capture, and support reporting for analysis and continuous improvement.

  • Design, evaluate, and implement improvements to manufacturing process flow with a focus on yield, performance, reliability, and overall efficiency.

  • Document the release and maintenance of software solutions through the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process.

  • Investigate production issues and equipment or test failures; support manufacturing engineers with performing root‑cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.

  • Provide hands‑on test engineering support across departments to ensure production requirements, quality standards, and throughput goals are met.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong planning, prioritization, communication, and cross‑functional coordination skills.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and technical teams across multiple sites to ensure consistent deployment of process improvements, test solutions, and best practices.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field preferred; or equivalent practical experience.

  • 3+ years of experience developing test software solutions.

  • Hands‑on experience developing software solutions using LabVIEW, TestStand, C#, SQL, Python, or similar technologies.

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including experience with root‑cause analysis and structured troubleshooting.

  • Experience with modern source control tools such as Git.

  • Familiarity with MES systems, JIRA, Confluence, and production‑floor environments is a plus. 

Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
