The Wine Sales Representative role is tasked with selling the Cardinal wine portfolio in a given territory of On-Premise and Off-Premise outlets such as bars, restaurants, and independent wine and liquor stores. Day to day, the Sales Representative role interacts with owners and managers of these establishments to build mutually beneficial partnerships. To do this effectively, you need to be solution oriented, have a customer service mindset, and a relentless pursuit of success.

Additional Responsibilities for The Wine Sales Representative Include

Create and manage solutions to grow their assigned account base, while driving results that deliver market share growth for Cardinal Distributing.

Build industry knowledge to educate customers, solve problems and maximize sales.

Collaborate with our suppliers in support of market visits and/or execution of supplier and account events.

Develop mutually valuable relationships with assigned accounts, through understanding their needs and requirements.

Serve as the communication lead between accounts and internal Cardinal teams.

Requirements

 

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum 2 years of relevant professional alcohol beverage sales experience, or for new college graduates, a sales internship or full/part-time sales role (preferably in consumer goods).

A valid driver's license

Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours

Strong planning & organizational skills

Willingness to travel around assigned territory

Candidate must reside in the territory

Strong ability to self-manage daily tasks and schedule to achieve results

Experience building customer relationships
