CHS is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Inventory Coordinator to manage audit inventory and maintain accurate accounting records across our Zip Trip store locations in Montana. Based in Billings, MT, this role requires strong verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to collaborate effectively with employees and managers in a lead, customer-facing capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to Zip Trip stores in MT and north WY to conduct physical counts of retail merchandise. 
  • Utilize inventory machine and scanner to count product. 
  • Interact with Store Managers and Store Supervisors to ensure an accurate count of all products is taken.
  • Audit inventory and accounting records to ensure existence, completeness, accuracy, evaluation, right/obligations and classification of the inventory is accurately reported and presented.
  • Create notification pull thru and verification of inventories.
  • Compile various reports for preliminary review. Report and distribute completed inventory reports.
  • Evaluate and confirm credits to inventories so they are accounted for and applied to inventories prior to finalization.
  • Assist with other items and projects as assigned by Merchandise Manager
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions. 

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • 3+ years of experience in retail
  • High School diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications

  • Able to travel overnight and have reliable transportation 
  • Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. If required, selected candidates must pass pre-employment screenings to include all or a combination of drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements and FMSCA Clearinghouse.

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
